Budgets
You choose the most you'll spend on models
Give each review agent daily, weekly and monthly budgets for model spend, and set limits per AI provider key. Within an agent, add budgets per contributing team, reviewing team, author, repo or single pull request.
- When a budget is reached, the reviews it covers pause until the window resets.
- When one provider key reaches its budget, PURA moves to the next key you've listed.
- The analytics dashboard shows spend by team, author, repo, provider, model and agent.
Illustrative month: model spend climbs until it reaches a $200 monthly budget, then reviews under that budget pause. Your plan fee is fixed and separate. If your plan's monthly reviews run out, PURA comments on the pull request and resumes on the 1st, with no overage charges.
How these numbers are worked out
- Figures use the team size and review volume you set above: currently 50 developers and 1,000 reviews a month, on the PURA Pro plan.
- The plan fee is the smallest plan that covers your monthly reviews (Starter $399 a year for 100 reviews a month, Scale $999 a year for 400 reviews a month, Pro $1,999 a year for 1,000 reviews a month), at the yearly price divided by 12.
- Model spend is added on top, because you bring your own AI provider keys and pay your provider directly. We assume $0.20 a review with routing, for a review of about 60k input and 6k output tokens.
- The "every PR on a premium model" figure uses $0.45 a review. It compares PURA with routing against PURA without routing, not against another product.
- Reviewer time assumes 30 minutes per pull request for the first read, 30% of it covered by PURA's review, at $100 an hour fully loaded. These are planning assumptions, not measurements.
- PURA assists human review. A person still approves every merge, so the time figures describe a first read your reviewers no longer start from scratch.

Questions about cost
What does PURA cost?+
A plan fee, set by how many reviews you run each month, plus the model spend you pay your own AI provider directly. There are no per-seat fees, no overage charges and no markup on model spend.
Why is model spend separate from the plan price?+
PURA uses your own Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or OpenAI-compatible keys, so your provider bills you directly at its own prices. Keeping it separate shows exactly what your models cost, and routing and budgets help bring that number down.
What counts as a review?+
A pull request that PURA reviews with at least one of your review agents. It counts once, however many agents review it. Draft pull requests are not reviewed, and reviews that match no agent, are paused by a budget, or fail because a model is unavailable do not count. Counts reset on the first of each month (UTC).
What happens when we use our monthly reviews?+
PURA posts a comment on the pull request and resumes reviews when the allowance resets on the first of the month. There are no overage charges, and you can move up a plan at any time.
How do I lower model spend per review?+
Describe in each agent’s skill which changes need a stronger model: send docs, typo fixes and dependency bumps to a lean model, and keep a premium model for auth, payments and core logic. The analytics dashboard shows which teams, repos and models drive spend.
Do we pay more as the team grows?+
No. Contributors, repositories and teams are unlimited on every plan. Only review volume moves the price, so new engineers often don’t change your plan at all.
